Pinteresting Finds #2

This week, I’ve seen a lot of equestrian jewelry. It reminds me of my late Grandmother’s years working for a friend who traveled around the country selling horse themed jewelry at all the big horse shows. At the time, my middle school self was more interested in colorful halters and fun new saddle pads for my horse. However, I did receive quite a few pieces of jewelry for birthdays and Christmases that I wore with pride! A horse head ring was the favorite back then. Fast forward to college and my Grammy, as we called her, noticed my love for vintage jewelry and gave me some of her own pieces that she’d collected. My favorite was, and still is, my silver horse head cuff! I love wearing it with boots and skirts but it really goes with everything! When I wear it, I always think of her and our shared love of horses. I also know that I won’t see anyone else in my town wearing the same silver cuff!

So, while the popular trend of mixing and matching multiple equestrian bracelets is a lot of fun, I’ve chosen to focus on some unique finds in the world of equine jewelry! There are so many fun pieces out there, it was hard to narrow it down. But, I think the items listed below are both fun and functional, while offering a unique flair to any outfit!

1. Turquoise Bracelet w/Silver Horse by Silver Wishes – I am seriously obsessed with turquoise! I have always loved this stone so I immediately gravitated toward this awesome piece! They have multiple options for horse lovers!

2. Custom Horse Hair Bracelet by Tarpan Beadworks – what’s more unique than a bracelet made with your own horse’s hair! I’m currently collecting loose strands to send off and have one of these made from Dancer’s lovely locks! You can find custom metal tags all over Etsy – add one of those or some charms for a personal touch!

3. Equestrian Necklace by Michelle Starbuck Designs – I love the simplicity of this necklace’s design. It would be great with a solid color top or dress!

4. Horse Hoof Ring by Moon Raven Designs is like a hug from your horse every time you put it on!

I hope this inspires you to mix up your accessories and have a little fun with them!
